Ingredients:
2 cups (500 mL) all-purpose flour
2 tsp (10 mL) baking powder
2 tsp (10 mL) cinnamon
1 tsp (5 mL) baking soda
3/4 tsp (4 mL) salt
1/2 tsp (2 mL) nutmeg
3/4 cup (175 mL) each granulated and packed brown sugar
3 eggs
3/4 cup (175 mL) vegetable oil
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla
2 cups (500 mL) grated carrots
1 cup (250 mL) drained canned crushed pineapple
1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped walnuts

Preparation:

Grease and flour 13- x 9-inch (3.5 L) metal cake pan; set aside.

In large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt and nutmeg. In separate bowl, beat together granulated and brown sugars, eggs, oil and vanilla until smooth; pour over flour mixture and stir just until moistened. Stir in carrots, pineapple and walnuts. Spread in prepared pan.

Bake in centre of 350°F (180°C) oven for 40 minutes or until cake tester inserted in centre comes out clean. Let cool in pan on rack. (Make-ahead: Cover with plastic wrap and store at room temperature for up to 2 days.

Ingredients

Basmati rice – 1 cup
1 tsp ground Persian Saffron
Sugar – 2 tbsp.
Cinnamon – 1 one inch stick
Bay leaves – 2 nos.
4-5 cardamoms
wallnut pieces – ½ cup
Raisins – ½ cup
Salt as per taste

Preparation

* Soak rice for 30 minutes. Drain.
* Heat ghee in a cooking pan and add bay leaf, cinnamon stick and cardamoms
* Add rice, saffron (crashed in 6tbsp of hot water), sugar and salt. Stir till all the grains are covered with turmeric powder.
* Add water, raisins and cashewnuts. Bring it to a boil, reduce heat and cover. Cook till done.

Yes I am in Morocco, finally…
As most of you; my friends know I hadn’t had the chance to visit home in over three years. Right now, I am writing this post from my mother’s office at home. It feels awesome to be home, it is even more exciting to be relieved; gaining energy back and be revived.
I am happy to be here, I just can’t put it into words. My grandmother just called me from downstairs to go eat -couscous- which is a famous succulent Moroccan dish. My great friends are very happy for me, which makes this even more enjoyable. Special Love for Nada, Jocelyne and Carol.
It’s kind of hard to say that I also am looking forward to seeing you again soon while I am really happy here, but I am sure you understand the feeling and do know that I do enjoy my time around you too!

Very often people would mention that they only have been in love once, or that it didn’t really count because it was not deep or reciprocal. or simply cause the latter person wasn’t worth the trust or commitment..

I want to say that it doesnt matter if you have been in love once only, or thought you have been in love..were. What’s done cannot be undone; and it’s past. Besides, what matters is that you learn from the experience, try to come over the resentment -if there is any- , stay optimistic and move on to meet better people. I just jot this down because a friend reminded me of this as we talked about past relationships and about people who take their partner’s past experiences as a measure of being special; “That if X never had feelings for anyone else, will likely be a better partner to me” is absolutely false.

We all need motivation to start something new or to simply keep doing something we are .. I am writing this for my friends who lack motivation for things they really wanna hit off, and I know they’re able to make it…

My ideas here are not in the right proper order, but I’ll try to say what I can, then review and fix the post later. You need some determination, pinponting objectives and working on reaching them.

1. We all have things we dislike about our lives, bodies, or even if you’re lucky: your personality (that if you really have the courage to admit to negative things about your personality) , but should one really stop at the negatives and do nothing but be sad and curse the bad luck? No… It’s best to face facts and try to do something about it t o move forward. I got sucked in by many misfortunes and unfairness in my life, but I kept trying to pull myself out of it. I admit that at some point I didn’t try hard enough to move on and better the situations but I did after all, and that’s all what matters for now.

For you my friends, and you know who you are, I always said you could call me or come over anytime, and I am very proud many of you would call me for advice and support. That you consider my words to be valuable is extremely meaningful for me. Well not to brag but I thought I had to let you know how happy it makes me that you guysthink I am trustworthy.

ms Sarine, you’re the one on my mind right now, I know you’re checking my blog and can’t wait to see what I’ll do out of it.. I’ll cram it with advice and tips that I am sure you’ll find interesting. and Yes, I am still waiting for you to have free time so we can hang out again, go to movies and exercise together.

ms Nada, you rock girl, you get nervous and all irritated sometimes because of obviously-irritating people (just like I do) you don’t hold your feelings back, you show your anger and disappointment, and that’s a lot like me. You should know you’re very appreciated, your determination, down-to-earth behaviour, and intelligence are just beyond rational thoughts! Love ya!

 My aunt was born on valentine’s day february 14. 1964 and also gave birth to her first daughter on february 14, 1994

well well… how do I make my blog interesting..? at least to myself? I guess for now I’ll be writing my diary (or at least the part I am willing to share ^_^ ) yes, that was an asian smile -konni shiwa ! haha…

Too many blogs, sites, forums around… I am not trying or even hoping to get traffic to this spot of mine but it’s at least interesting to me.. at this point in time..

I guess I’ll be sharing some of my passions in here too, for my buddies to check out, as most of you know (my friends) I am a south park fanatic, some of you think I rock the house, some think I love south park too much I need to  do something about it.
