Fluffy French Toast
This French toast recipe is different because it uses flour. So the toast is fluffy inside and a little crunchy from outside. Also using brown sugar instead of white.
WHAT YOU NEED:
makes 12 slices
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 pinch salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2tbsp of Becel oil ( or any canola oil)
1/2cup blueberries (place at room temperature while you make toasts)
Maple syrup (or pancake syrup)
12 thick slices bread
WHAT TO DO:
Measure flour into a large mixing bowl. Slowly whisk in the milk. Whisk in the salt, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla extract and sugar until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium heat.
Soak bread slices in mixture until saturated. Cook bread on each side until golden brown. Serve hot. Garnish with a few blueberries and maple syrup.
